The
new facility containing four (4) residential units will
temporarily house up to 4 women and their children.
Each accommodation is designed for personal concealment,
security and privacy. The facilities design was conceived
from a model of today's hotel architecture: efficient
in space, appropriate size and ergonomics, safety, comfort,
sound reduction and personal privacy.
The
facility is a safehouse with magnetically controlled
door locks, like a hotel with the swipe card entry.
There
will be a fenced-in children's playground with modest
playground equipment.
According
to LHS rules, each adult client is required to do their
own laundry, food preparation and housekeeping. According
to LHS rules, there is a daily schedule for all clients
which includes Bible study, prayer time, and vocational
guidance. Children and youth will be taught Bible stories
from qualified volunteers.
